Dr. Mirza is a Health Management Expert owing to her diverse experience of more than 39 years in Healthcare Industry after her graduation in MBBS (Bachelor of Surgery & Medicine) from Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Pakistan.
She started her career as general practitioner from Pakistan Armed Forces and after serving for 15 years as commissioned officer was pursuing clinical practice till 2020.
Dr. Mirza, being keen in personal growth & development, continued attending national & international conferences in healthcare management & leadership and obtained master’s degree (MBA) in Health & Hospital Management in 2012 from Institute of Business Management, Pakistan. After MBA, she was appointed at a Director at The Recovery House and since then affiliated to this organization. She also completed the training in CPRP – Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner from PRA -Psych Rehab Association United States.
Dr. Mirza had been involved in different roles in rehabilitation practices since past 10 years and believes in holistic, humanistic, client-centered relational approach and therapeutic alliance to work with empathy and genuineness. Being in the role of caregiving throughout her life, her profession has become passion now.
Dr. Uzma Ambareen is currently serving as the Medical Director at The Recovery House. She is also associated with the Pakistan Association for Mental Health since returning from the US after completing her residency. Previously she has served as Clinical Director at the Institute of Behavior Sciences and subsequently at the Free Mental Health Clinic. Apart from Psychiatric Rehabilitation, her areas of interest include community psychiatry, public mental health awareness, individual psychotherapy and family therapy.
An internist who believes in integrated and managed healthcare. Dr. Azhar is an American board certified internist who was trained in a multicultural environment in NY-USA where she was exposed to a vast variety of diseases and conditions. She then joined a multi-disciplinary group practice in NJ-USA where she provided primary care and urgent care services.
She has had the pleasure of being a professor at MandlCollege of Allied Health-NY where she taught medical assistants, and has also worked as a physician advisor.
She currently provides health management services at TRH and has her own private internal medicine practice at DHA clinics.
Kanza Asad is our Psych Rehab Supervisor. Her main role is to oversee the quality of care provided to the clients which includes supervising the care managers and the psych rehab process at TRH to facilitate client’s recovery process. She believes that every individual has the capacity to learn and grow so she strives to facilitate strength perspective goal planning according to the need of the client.
Mariam Imran is an Assistant Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner and Coordinator of the Day Rehabilitation program at The Recovery House. She facilitates the client’s recovery process. She is passionate about her work and has a diverse experience working with clients with severe mental illnesses.
Zulfiqar Ali is a compassionate and dedicated Trainee Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. His expertise lies in dealing with clients mental illness. He has great experience dealing with interpersonal relationships and conflict management.
Hamna is a Trainee Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner responsible for empowering clients with mental illnesses. She caters to their needs with empathy and an eagerness to help them regain essential skills.
Sadia Muhammad Zubair is a Trainee Psychiatric Rehab practitioner at TRH. Her major responsibilities include managing cases of multiple clients and conducting group therapy sessions. Sadia strongly believes that with the right kind of support and a whole lot encouragement, not only are people able to recover from their mental health illness, but are also able to identify their true potentials and live their lives to the fullest.
Mr Umer Mirza is a compassionate and dedicated Addictions Counselor. He has extensive experience conducting one on one counseling/therapy، educational and process group sessions for almost 3 years.
The Recovery House (TRH) is a not for profit institute working to facilitate the recovery of individuals with a mental illness. At TRH, our clients learn to manage their illness, define personal and professional goals and acquire skills that will allow them to effectively re-integrate into society with minimum professional support.
